It began as Arythographix Design Solutions - in Sheikh's bedroom.
Back in late 1998, Sheikh started to pave his way to realize a dream of building a design consultancy company. Working for more than 12 hours a day was his bread and butter back then. And until now, he still works more or less the same. His passion for design, and fancy for functioning creative is just intolerable.
Much of his life now and then has been spent in front of his Mac to stay true to his philosophy, which is the fundamental of Arythographix - to design a work that works. With humble beginnings, the head honcho of Arythographix struggled in a one-man-show affair. A bedroom turned studio was his vault, spending laborious nights doing freelance, while working full time during the day. Exhausting and strenuous it was, but that never detered him to be in motion, and steering his creativity.

Arythographix grabbed some highly visible clients in the early days of its establishment, among them being ADAM (Time Wireless) and Midvalley Megamall. Luckily, the team did not rests on its laurels, or else we would be history. "The funny part is, we won a pitch where a company that refused to hire me at one time was also in competition", said Sheikh in a chat with his partners.
It was not so easy though to get what he always wanted; he prevailed through a rough way with sleepless nights, restless days, tons of caffeine and loads of nicotine that had kept him company all the way. He finally left his high-profile job in CNET Networks to focus his mind, body and soul to Nuevo.
A demanding assignment changed Arythographix from "I'm everybody, everything, anything company" to a party of two. It was 1999 that an industrial design prodigy of UiTM (Mara University Institute of Technology) was invited to work hand-in-hand with him. Azham's unique approach to solving design problems (and a distinctive hairdo as well), and painstaking attention to detail to produce innovative designs has rewarded him with "co-founder" status with Arythographix.
In the fourth quarter of 2004, Arythographix witnessed a great loss when Azham decided to leave the team for personal reasons. Sheikh opened the old phone book and found out Shakirah Md. Zain, and invited her into Arythograhix.
Shakirah joined Arythographix as Business Development Director, bringing with her many years of audit, marketing and business development experience. She immediately doing magic - improving and polishing various aspects of Arythographix's operational and corporate praticeses.
In early 2005, Arythographix changed its name to Nuevo Design and invited two others to be a part of Nuevo's strategic vision - Norul Farihah Muda, carrying the role of Finance Director and Ridzuan Seikh Omar, Nuevo's Environmental Design Director.

As a certified Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Norul came to Nuevo with hands full of experience in audit and financial management. She brought a tremendous change in Nuevo's financial management procedures.
While Norul busy working with Nuevo's numbers and ringgits, Ridzuan, a young yet experienced architect and a former partner of an architect firm, brings a new dimension to Nuevo - from a purely design consultancy company to a multidisciplinary design and architect firm. Ridzuan leads Nuevo Idea, a subsidiary of Nuevo Design was founded in 2005. Nuevo Idea focuses on architecture, environmental design as well as construction.
Today, this core team of four keeps on rocking their own way; with a host of others shares their visions and beliefs. Started as a dream of one man, Nuevo managed to weather through the rise and fall of many other start-up agencies; through workable creative solutions and credence of "never say die".
As the members of the team cited in gratefulness, "Our clients made possible our status. We were so lucky to be awarded with those assignments, and of course we have done our best to make sure that they were lucky to have hired us too."
